Description
This exhibition opens a triptych about the most restless, overflowing and refreshing creativity that is emerging in the Catalonia of the new millennium. It addresses the dialogue between new technologies and the rich heritage of the past through language. Ex memoria spes, memory, hope … and creativity.
Plastic artists, filmmakers, bakers, architects, graphic and object designers, cartoonists, animators, video game programmers, typographers, etc. In this show, they break the boundaries of their own discipline, without hiding their origins. Sometimes establishing a dialogue with the popular arts, at other times approaching a restoration of that past language through new technologies. There are disciplines that contemplate the pitcher or the carpets as traditional elements, there are others that are focused on role play, or the cinema of Fassbinder, or even on countercultural guerrilla language. None of them, however, obviate the computer, it is their process.
